Diwali - six more days to go...
Another year...Another festival...Away from home...
Many times it gives a feel "what a life...being away from home and missing almost most of the festivals.."
But when we see that we are not alone to feel like this, it gives a kind of smile, "we are on same boat buddy"
Early morning phone calls, sms, mails, make us feel as if we celebrate d occasion with our beloved ones...thanks to technology!!!
got bored...another sleepless Saturday morning !!!

Face book??? - Think about it again!!!
Washington, May 10 (ANI): An expert in online privacy has drawn attention to the five dangers of sharing information on social networking site Facebook.
Joan Goodchild, senior editor of CSO (Chief Security Officer) Online, claims marketing efforts by the company often results in a compromise on account holders' privacy, reports CBS News.
Goodchild noted five risks of using Facebook on 'The Early Show on Saturday Morning.' They are:
1.Your information is being shared with third parties
2. Privacy settings revert to a less safe default mode after each redesign
3. Facebook ads may contain malware
4. Your real friends unknowingly make you vulnerable
5. Scammers are creating fake profiles
Earlier this week, 15 privacy and consumer protection organizations filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, alleging that the site manipulates privacy settings to make users' personal information available for commercial use. -- courtesy - Yahoo India

Here I'm...
Well....here I'm...back to blogs after two months...Exams were over...waiting for results..
Not much work to do in office ...
So what to do...
1) Play games
2) Watch movie
3) Listen to songs
4) Read books
5) Mock others..
Some other way to kill time?
Seriously wonder...
I don't have an answer for this...
BTW, lots of farewell in office these days...
Wish I could also get one...
When will be my number - mera number kab aeyagha?

The Man In The Glass
When you get what you want in your struggle for self
And the world makes you king for a day,
Just go to the mirror and look at yourself
And see what that man has to say.
For it isn’t your father or mother or wife
Whose judgment upon you must pass.
The fellow whose verdict counts most in you life
Is the one staring back from the glass.
You may be like Jack Horner and chisel a plum
And think you’re a wonderful guy.
But the man in the glass says you’re only a bum
If you can’t look him straight in the eye.
He’s the fellow to please-never mind all the rest,
For he’s with you clear to the end.
And you’ve passed your most dangerous, difficult test
If the man in the glass is your friend.
You may fool the whole world down the pathway of years
And get pats on the back as you pass.
But your final reward will be heartache and tears
If you’ve cheated the man in the glass.

Me & Me
"Screeeechhhhhhh... the open top maruti gypsy tumbled n tumbled on for 5 times before it came to rest on its top...Who is that inside...looks someone familiar to me...went near to have a close look... Oh...Oh..Oh My God... it's me...it's me who is in that wrecked gypsy...Blood blood..everywhere...am i dying?"
I woke up - drenched in sweat...Heart was thumping fast...It was 00:30... A cool, calm night.
Everyone in the home were sleeping...Came out of my room...went to kitchen.
Opened fridge to drink chill water, but changed my mind as there was orange juice...
Filled it in glass and went to balcony...It was a full moon day.
It was so amazing to watch the full moon in a dark sky through coconut tree leaves...Took a gulp of juice and a deep breathe...
The one good thing to live near a sea-shore is you can enjoy the beauty of nature, especially at night without any disturbances, as long as you wish...
Dragged a chair and tea-table to balcony from room...sat there leisurely enjoying the chill weather, cool breeze...
Closed my eyes...
The pleasantness, and the silence of the surroundings took me into past in no time...It all happened in a one such full moon night...20:00 - 23:00: those three hours, still pull my heart out from me at some nights...

Xams
I hate xams. Don’t ask me why
Right from my school days, I didn’t like the concept of exams.
Why do they value a student’s capacity by keeping exams?
Looks like our whole education system is just to test the memory capacity… how good one is in memorizing things…
Unfortunately I’m bad in it…
I can’t memorize a thing…right from my school days I used to skip “memory poem” and Miss(teacher) used to beat me with scale
Imagine how good it would be if there are no exams…
Student's skills should be identified and nurtured based on their interest
Student's skills should be identified and nurtured based on their interest
Whole education system needs a re-modification…
PS: got to study for MBA exams…catch ya later…
Answered Prayers
A voyaging ship was wrecked during a storm at sea and only two of the men on it were able to swim to a small, desert like island. The two survivors, not knowing what else to do, agreed that they had no other recourse but to pray to God. However, to find out whose prayer was more powerful, they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on opposite sides of the island.
The first thing they prayed for was food. The next morning, the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the land, and he was able to eat its fruit. The other man's parcel of land remained barren.
After a week, the first man was lonely and he decided to pray for a wife. The next day, another ship was wrecked, and the only survivor was a woman who swam to his side of the land. On the other side of the island, there was nothing.
Soon the first man prayed for a house, clothes, more food. The next day, like magic, all of these were given to him. However, the second man still had nothing.
Finally, the first man prayed for a ship, so that he and his wife would leave the island. In the morning, he found a ship docked at his side of the island.
The first man boarded the ship with his wife and decided to leave the second man on the island. He considered the other man unworthy to receive God's blessings, since none of his prayers had been answered. As the ship was about to leave, the first man heard a voice from heaven booming, "Why are you leaving your companion on the island?"
"My blessings are mine alone, since I was the one who prayed for them," the first man answered. "His prayers were all unanswered and so he does not deserve anything."
"You are mistaken!" the voice rebuked him. "He had only one prayer, which I answered. If not for that, you would not have received any of my blessings."
"Tell me," the first man asked the voice, "What did he pray for that I should owe him anything?" "He prayed that all your prayers be answered."
For all we know, our blessings are not the fruits of our prayers alone, but those of another praying for us.

Aayirathil Oruvan - Movie Review
Saw the movie today!!! When the movie ends, we really can get the meaning of the title "Aayirathil Oruvan"!!!
Directed by Selvaragavan, took nearly 3 years to hit the silver screen...A long wait though...
A beautiful plot, with a superb screenplay...can give 5/5 ...
The lead Trio:
The film is led by the trio - Karthik, Reema and Andrea...
The first half, is just another normal film, with a basic thread, comedy, action, eye-catching song picturisation, stunning visuals and grandeur!!!
Karthik who plays as Muthu, is a lead for a group of coolies who were hired to carry luggage in terrain and sea... right from his intro, till the last scene, played his role well n good.
Reema plays as archaeologist Anitha Pandian, where as Andrea plays as Lavanya, daughter of Prattle pothan who plays the role of an archaeologist, who goes in thin air, while tracking the "lost Chola civilization".
After a hard some try, the troop stumble over the lost Chola civilization, which is being headed by R.Parthiban.
R.Parthiban, justified his presence in the film. No other actor can be imagined in that role...A show stealing performance in the second half... He rules the screen in the second half...
Here the things turns upside down, follows is a series of happenings that will leave you glued to the screen.
The film makes to viewer, rather gives a chill thrill "what next?"
The film starts with a bang, but it doesn’t unfold quickly. The second half looks like another film. There are long gaps of silence in the climax which will make an ordinary viewer restless.
Last but not least, the music and camera work...
Simply awesome... top class work by both GVP and Ramji...
Another milestone in Tamil cine field!!!
Rating - 4/5

Digital Trunk Acceptance Test
Need for Digital Trunk Acceptance Test:
Once a T1 / Trunk is installed between A – point and Z – point, then in order to check , whether the T1 / Trunk is capable to pass the digital signals as requested by the customer. These tests can be performed when SAS Feature Group D Access is ordered from the service provider and delivered via a digital switch, on digital facilities, and without digital to analog conversion on the service provider portion of the circuit. In cases where the IC has a D/A conversion, the final choice of tests shall rest with the IC.
Digital Acceptance Tests:
A trunk is tested for the digital transmission facility between the AT and EO where it is newly installed. There is no need to test the T1 or Trunks which exist and are in service. The acceptance test of the Digital transmission facility for FG-D has three steps, which are described below.
Ø One signaling/operational test per trunk.
Ø One 1004 Hz loss and one C-Notch Noise test per trunk group per di-group in both directions of transmission.
Ø Error Ratio (BER) test in each direction of transmission using compatible Quasi / Pseudo Random Signal Source.
Acceptance Criteria:
v Acceptable BER should be 10(7) or better for a period of five minutes.
v The test should be made between the EC DSX, closest to the service provider digital service, and the first IC DSX.
v If the DS-1 facility is connected to a DS-3/HC-3 service, in lieu of cooperative acceptance tests, the service provider will provide a loop-back at the DSX-1 closest to the service provider digital switch toward the MUX and notify the IC the loop-back is in place. The IC can verify the integrity of the DS-1 through the DS-3/HC-3. BER parameters apply.
v The test shall be performed at a mutually agreed upon time during normal business hours, and generally should be performed prior to facility turn-up for service.
These digital test procedures are consistent with industry agreement for Installation and Maintenance responsibilities for Feature Groups B, C and D to verify the capability of installed T1 / Trunk for their digital transmission.

Used to live near a seashore when i was in chennai...Once reach home form office, used to rush up n change n will go n sit on the sand...watching those tides, moon, kite, kids, with a cup of tea...Wow...nothing can give dat feel...
Lets cherish those moments!!!
Cheers!!!

FG-D
FG-D access is designed to provide equal transmission performance (as perceived by the EU) between the POT and the EO, whether routed directly or via an AT. FG-D provides higher quality services than the other Feature Groups. It is known as equal access because it guarantees that all carriers are processed equally. It defines interconnection rules between a LEC and an IC. FG-D services route inter-LATA calls to the IEC POT, route calls with a CAC to the user's carrier, and pass information to the carrier. Information passed includes the caller's number, through ANI.
FG-D Service Description:
The voice-transmission path between the POT and an EO ranges from 300 to 3000 Hz, provided by the LATA access for FGD. Stored Program Controlled EO or an AT switch allows trunk-side switching, which provides access to LATA. Analog parameters for FGD access are specified from POT to EO. The transmission parameters are stricter when routing is done through an AT than those for other feature groups or direct FG-D access. Figure below illustrates these features. Note that the more stringent transmission type A1 parameters are provided on both the dedicated transmission path from the POT to the AT and on the common transmission path from the AT to the EO. Transmission type B1 is provided between the POT and the EO for FGD direct access. FGD service terminating in the LATA has access to NXXs and miscellaneous services as well as other ICs’ services, if they can be reached using NXX codes. Calls originating from the LATA reach the desired customer by the uniform access code of the form 10XXX. (When Carrier Identification Code-Expansion [CIC-E] becomes effective, the uniform access code will be in the form of 101XXXX.) No access code is needed if the end user’s telephone exchange service is arranged for presubscription. In the terminating direction, FGD may not be switched to FG-B, FG-C, or FG-D.
